GONE
I have some roosters available and wanted to share here to see if there was any interest prior to taking them to auction.
Easter Egger rooster, between 3 and 4 years of age. We call him Jafar, but don’t let the Disney villain name fool you- he’s actually a sweetheart. He tends nicely to his ladies, and will hop the fence of the run in order to visit with us before going back to join his girls. We don’t typically pick him up, he’s not a cuddler, but we have had no issues with his temperament.
He has not been exposed to children, so I am not certain how he would be with them, but he’s a great rooster.
He currently flock-shares with another rooster, and is the more dominant of the flock. Given plenty of space and a proper, slow introduction, he has done well with several roosters over the few years I’ve had him.
I am asking t w e n t y d o l l a r s, o b o, for him. He’s one that I’ve been on the fence about keeping, but I really want ti take my projects in a different direction.
Barnyard mixes (one lighter colored, one barred)- these boys are a few months old and came to me in a batch of chicks. I’m told they are “half Banty and half regular chicken.” So far I am not seeing any issues in temperament from either boy, though they aren’t fond of being handled at this time. Asking f i f t e e n d o l l a r s, o b o per bird, would take t w e n t y d o l l a r s for the pair.
Bantam barnyard mixes. I had a hen hatch just a pair of chicks earlier this spring- of course both ended up being boys. Their dad is 1/2 D’uccle and 1/2 mottled bantam cochin.
The more colorful boy is out of my 1/2 Mosiac, 1/4 OEGB, 1/4 bantam wyandotte hen. Hatched from a light tan egg. He’s already so stunning and I would keep him if I weren’t downsizing, he’s going to be absolutely gorgeous.
The little blue boy is out of one of my 1/2 Silkie, 1/2 Easter Egger hens and hatched from a blue egg. May carry the blue egg gene but not guaranteed.
Both of these little guys have feathered feet. They were raised by a broody hen and haven’t been handled much at all, but I am able to easily grab them in the evenings off of the roost with only mild fuss. Asking t e n d o l l a r s, o b o per bird, would take f i f t e e n d o l l a r s for the pair.
I would be especially interested in updates on the little Mosiac mix as he grows.
Attaching photos below, labeled with which birds are which.
Located in Lewis county, can possibly travel to meet on weekends, but depending on distance may ask an added gas fee.
Also willing to trade for chicken feed.
Thank you!
