Mid summer - pumpkin flowers as big as a pie plate and melons starting to show. Ahhh. Beans are looking good too, at last. Final days of sugar peas.
Meanwhile... John got "skunked" by a skunk caught in one of our live traps 🥲🥹

Wanting to save your bread for a week or more?
Double bag it (in plastic) and pop it in your freezer.
When you want it almost as fresh as "just baked", heat your oven to 350F, put the FROZEN bread in the oven for 30 minutes. Presto: almost like fresh baked.
If you want a softer crust, sprinkle it with water before you bake it.
DONT thaw the bread before re-baking!

It was a nice long season for Basil (2023). Now gone, but a ring around a couple tomatoes really seemed a winning combination.
