My husband likes to blame me for the growing population at Wallace Family Farm.

But if we’re assigning responsibility correctly…

My parents are the real enablers.

Every time I tried to bring home another animal, they hit me with:
“You can have as many animals as you want when you’re older.”

Now look where we are.

One pet cow.
A herd of dogs.
A farm that keeps growing.

Kofi, if you’re looking for someone to blame, I’d like to direct your attention to your in-laws. They created this monster. 😂🐮🐶

Maybel survived the storm the other night. 🌪️🐮

At one point I looked out toward her barn and there was a full-blown tornado of straw just whirling around inside.

Meanwhile, Maybel was standing out in the pasture like she was auditioning for Twister 3: Moo-nado.

Farm lesson of the day:

If you’re gonna head out to feed Maybel in true redneck fashion.. no bra, oversized T-shirt, and zero concern for the outside world.. remember that barbed wire doesn’t care about your comfort.

Leaned over the fence and nearly donated a ni**le to the ranch. 🤠

Payback happened QUICK. 😂

First Peyton and now Samson has joined the rebellion.

I took the dogs outside to potty, and somehow that turned into an all-inclusive backyard sunbathing session.

Meanwhile, I’m standing there wondering how I became the unpaid activities director for a bunch of freeloaders. ☀️🐶

…because I looked my husband dead in the eyes and said, “We’re not getting any more animals for a while.”

Then I came home with another one.

If Keith Morrison ever says, “She told him it was the last one…” just know the evidence was stacked against me. 😅

Don’t drink and drive. Call an Uber. Call a friend. Call your mama. Just don’t get behind the wheel.

Also… don’t lose a fifth on the Fourth. The only thing that should be stumbling around the pasture this weekend is me after finding the good hay.

Now go make good life choices… because I don’t have bail money, and I’m not coming to pick you up.”

‼️The Town of Chelsea Animal Shelter has lost its only Animal Control Officer and is urgently looking for someone to fill this critical role.

This isn’t just a job opening, it’s a lifeline for the countless dogs in our community who have nowhere else to go. As a small rural town, we see far too many homeless and abandoned dogs that depend on the shelter for safety, food, medical care, and a chance to find a loving home.

Without an Animal Control Officer, these animals have even fewer people looking out for them.

Even if you’re not looking for a job, please share this post. The right person might be on your friends list, and one simple share could help save countless lives.

Our community, and these dogs, need us. ❤️🐾
