Mural comunitario de Freight Farm
¡El sábado pasado hicimos realidad el diseño del mural comunitario creado por Oscar! 🎨🌱Fue, sin duda, una obra hecha con mucho cariño. Con el increíble apoyo de más de 40 voluntarios, nuestro equipo de Justicia Alimentaria se unió para pintar el mural de Freight Farm y convertir la visión de Oscar en una parte vibrante de nuestra comunidad.

Fue maravilloso ver a miembros de la comunidad de todas las generaciones —niños, adultos y personas mayores por igual— tomar los pinceles y ayudar a llenar el mural de color, energía y vitalidad. 💚 Nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos los que compartieron su tiempo, creatividad y entusiasmo. Así es como se ve la comunidad.

Freight Farm Community Mural
Last Saturday, we brought Oscar’s community mural design to life! 🎨🌱It was truly a labor of love. With the incredible support of over 40 volunteers, our Food Justice team came together to paint the Freight Farm mural and turn Oscar’s vision into a vibrant part of our community.

It was wonderful to see community members of all generations—children, adults, and seniors alike—pick up paintbrushes and help fill the mural with color, energy, and vitality. 💚Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who shared their time, creativity, and enthusiasm. This is what community looks like.

📣Big news: our new air quality sensors that track ultrafine particulate matter are officially installed across East Boston!

These sensors will help us track ultrafine particulate matter- pollution too small to see but with real impacts on community health- so we can better understand air quality patterns in East Boston and use that data to advocate for cleaner air 🌬️.

Huge congrats to Barbara, our Health Equity and Environmental Justice Organizer, for leading this effort!

Huge shoutout to our host partners: the MA Dept. of Conservation and Recreation, Eastie Farm, Channel Fish, and Excel Academy for helping us bring real-time air quality monitoring directly into the community.
