¡Vamos, Gio! 🥳🤩Giovanny, nuestro Organizador de Justicia de Tránsito, recibió el Premio Comunitario All-Star de Mystic Valley Elder Services el 4 de junio. El premio reconoce a personas que marcan la diferencia en la vida de los adultos mayores. Giovanny recientemente organizó y curó una exposición de arte sobre justicia de tránsito y materiales reciclados, destacando el talento de nuestros adultos mayores.

Community All‑Star Award by Mystic Valley Elder Services on June 4th. The award honors individuals who make a difference in the lives of older adults. Giovanny recently organized and curated an art show on transit justice and recycled materials, showcasing the talent of our elders.

THIS IS WHAT ENERGY DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE! Thank you to everyone who attended our Energy Bill Fair yesterday at the Williams School! We had an amazing turnout.

Chelsea and East Boston neighbors came to this first-of-its-kind event nervous about disconnection notices and high bills, and left really happy with lower bills, termination from predatory third-party suppliers, enrollment in debt-reduction programs, gas discounts, appliance replacements, and energy-saving giveaways!

Vecinos de Chelsea y East Boston llegaron a este evento, el primero de su tipo, preocupados por avisos de desconexión y facturas altas, ¡y se fueron muy contentos con facturas más bajas, la cancelación de proveedores externos abusivos, la inscripción en programas de reducción de deudas, descuentos en gas, el reemplazo de electrodomésticos y regalos para ahorrar energía!

📣 HUGE NEWS! We are proud to share this Boston Globe feature on a landmark win for Chelsea and environmental justice.

What GreenRoots' Executive Director Roseann Bongiovanni has initiated and led, transforming 18 acres of toxic industrial land into affordable housing, a nature center, and public waterfront access, is what decades of visionary, community-rooted leadership looks like.

This work is in partnership with The Neighborhood Developers and Mass Audubon.
