We woke up to two new lambs from Elsie this morning. These lambs are 50/50 Cheviot to Shetland. We began 12 yrs ago selling to the wool market. Our buyer went out of business in 2018. We decided to expand into pasture raised grass fed lamb. We introduced our first Cheviot ram in 2021. We have been breeding for a Cheviot dominate flock since then with additional Cheviot rams.

This nice looking ewe lamb was born a couple days ago.

Lambing began for us last week during a cold snap. It was a little nerve wracking, but we made it. This is our first set of twins for the year.

Happy sheep!

Cora and our Cheviot ram, Douglas, seem to have established this daily greeting. This ram always obeys the working dogs and he is calm and curious.

Here is an outside view of our shelters for the sheep and for hay/tractor storage at the Chelsea farm. Both 30 x144 ft high tunnels are now used for this purpose. This set up rocks!
