Today was a hard day. It was a day for new beginnings. This bull, Glenn, has built my program. He put me on the very map. I have spent five years hand selecting cows and heifers from all over the nation to compliment him. I’ve spent hours brushing, loving, and tending to him. He hasn’t just been a part of the program, he has been THE PROGRAM. We’ve spent countless hours together since he was just a sweet calf hopping around the fields, now to the bull who’s gifted me and many others incredible stock. Glenn was and will always be the heart and soul of our Miniature Cattle Program- what we strive for. He has the confirmation, the hair, the personality- really he has it all.
Today, I loaded my sweet boy on the trailer to his next adventure, a new chapter that will be just as sweet for him. Sterling Hills Farm, hit the jackpot getting to add this sweet boy. After talking with Robin, I knew she would love my boy the way I do. It was the perfect fit and a plus he’s only a few hours away.
We still have lots of future Glenn babies hanging out in the freezer for upcoming years and a few more of his calves to his the ground still this year.
We are so excited to watch what he will produce with Robin at Sterling Hills Farm, and he will forever be our Glenny.
