I confess!

Even though we are a "mostly" ingredient household, I will NEVER be without a good selection of Ramen for chilly days like today. Nothing beats warming the soul with a steaming bowl of goodness!

If you are anything like me, you grew up eating them dry right out of the package after getting home from school.

These days, after many moons of an evolving taste palette, I prepare my Ramen with extra goodies like farm fresh eggs, salad greens, carrots, peppers, onions etc. Whatever we have kicking around in the fridge for extra veggies, is what makes it into the pot.

Im curious ... are you a 3 minutes in the microwave type Ramen person? Or a gourmet on the stove full on iron chef mode Ramen person?

Oh! And...Sriracha or no Sriracha??? 🤔

The farmstand is officially closed for the season which means I can get back to something I haven't done in months. Generate product.

Product sales have been slow due to the season and not to toot my own horn but...I make a mean strawberry rhubarb jam which has been the star of the show all summer. 🤣

I absolutely love the process of creating product. It is where this whole thing began. A need to help my family and friends get the best holistic healing possible.

In the coming weeks, I will be recounting inventory, restocking Machias River General and Seaside Landscaping & Garden Center, and preparing for the largest craft fair I have attended thus far!

Today I also have an important phonecall with the Meeting House Collaborative out of Bangor to discuss the possibility of putting my herbs on their market to further expand my customer base. More importantly this helps to bring my herbs into homes that otherwise probably would not get the exposure they need to do so!

Big things happening all around and I am so incredibly excited!

Guys...

MY BUSINESS PAGE FINALLY HIT 1,000 FOLLOWERS!

I have been waiting for months, just shy of this goal while it slowly crept up. Overnight, somehow it exploded and I have finally reached this milestone!

I started this journey just under a year ago and can't believe the incredible amount of support that has come my way since then.

Thank you is not enough!

In light of this milestone, I plan to come up with some sort of giveaway so please stay tuned!! In the meantime, I'd like to see how many more followers we can dig up, so if you all wouldn't mind giving this page a quick share, I would be hapoy to enter your name in a drawing for some free product once I figure out what I want to throw together! ❤️❤️

Look at how pretty!

After receiving some beautiful oat tops from a fellow herbalist and very dear friend, I decided to throw a nervous system tea blend together.

Oat tops, Linden, Spearmint, Wild Rose, Chaga, and Lemon Balm! 👏

I can't wait to see what benefits are in store in the next 30 days or so! These are the parts of the colder months that I truly enjoy the most. Things coming to a quiet whisper and being able to dabble in nature's medicine cabinet. ❤️

📢 ATTENTION!

The farmstand will be closing for the winter season on October 18th, 2026 at 6pm.

With the weather growing colder, I have yet to decide on a good heating source and dont want to compromise the integrity of my products or the mini fridge.

I know, I know...I'm sad too...

However...DON'T PANIC! I will be establishing an ordering system (to be announced) for everything that is in the farmstand for the winter months. I also will be attending a few craft fairs in the coming weeks and still have product at the Machias River General and Seaside Landscaping & Garden Center!

If you have become a regular and want to come visit your favorite little hippy store, OR you have been meaning to come see just how cute it is but haven't gotten the chance, now is the time!

Don't forget to leave a cute note in the jar on your way out!

There is something so incredibly comforting about cleaning out the garden.

While some may be sad about summer coming to an end and winter fast approaching, I look forward to the time spent with family, the holiday season, and the warm cozy nights ahead.

My garden produced beautiful plants this year but unfortunately did not yield much for produce. I am completely ok with this because I chose to experiment and use winter sow boxes instead of buying starters or early seed starting.

Every season brings an opportunity for growth and knowledge and my garden gave me exactly that this year.

With that being said, moving forward, in order to take the pressure of something I love so much, I will not be offering produce or seedlings in the upcoming season. I will instead be turning the produce I receive into homemade canned goods to share in my stand.

Where I am off the beaten path, I do not get enough foot traffic to keep produce in the stand without it expiring and I can't handle the thought of food being wasted just to try and make a buck. I would much rather pour my time into the skill I have grown to perfect over the last 10 years...canning.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall colors and the fresh crisp air. ❤️

Stay tuned for more announcements moving forward and as always...stay feral.✌️😘

Something we go through all year round on a regular basis...applesauce.

Today we had a blast gathering up 120lbs of apples to put in jars! Apples are my very last canning hurdle before we move into deer season and start focusing on meat.

I've got close to 1,000 followers on here and I'm curious to know...what has everyone else been canning this season?

Pressure canning is always some what of a wild card. Not the pressure canning itself, but even when all steps are followed and system boxes are checked, the jars have a mind of their own.

Lots of people hesitate to pressure can due to being nervous of putting the pot under pressure and the horror stories that circulate about them blowing up.

Sometimes a jar will break for who knows what reason, but other times, you just may not get a ring on just tight enough and it will spin off. This causes the contents of the jar to boil out during processing.

This does NOT mean your whole batch is ruined! This just means you have a bit more scrubbing to do once you wash the jars for storage. After 2 near perfect batches, I had a little biit of mess on my third. It's ok though!

One thing to remember is to LEAVE THE FOOD on the jars! Do not try to rinse it off! This will cause a temperature shock to your jars and they WILL burst!

On a good note...no...a GREAT note, all of our tomatoes are officially done for the season! Thank you to Jordan farms in Chester for providing us with beautiful and safe produce to feed our family!
