Yesterday cut lettuce type leaves and bloomsdale spinach. Made for good wraps for fresh-made tuna salad. An ice cold glass of Chardonnay and brownie for supper.
Great afternoon today in the greenhouse today. Lots of rain last night & this morning so inside seeding this afternoon. Corey got his home-made oatmeal cookies for being such a good neighbor. Rainy days is cookie baking time.
Seeded more small marigolds; brings the total to around 150. Hardy Hibiscus got my attention; love floating the flowers with tea lights in an 'ol metal bucket next to the garden fire pit! Tended to the other seedlings; dahlia seeds not bulbs, verbena, dianthus. The yellow lemon size squash have sprouted & will need bigger pots real soon like tomorrow. Picked about a pint or so of strawberries. They're in the fridge and will be ready to macerate in the morning. What a treat for desert tomorrow after supper over some homemade sweet biscuits and whipped cream. Did I hear ice cream πŸ€”.

So how did we deal with the freeze? Lost 6 tomato plants, that's it. We watch local and national weather sources. We just wanted to push the planting envelope to make a 50-50 decision. Successfully planted the onions, peas, broccoli, brussel sprouts and cauliflower.
The mice have found their way to the flats of seeds. I have seeded many, many times: greenbeans, black-eyed peas, lemon, slicing and pickling cucumbers and many more ornamental flowers. I think I'm on top of their game now!
I'll be sinking transplants in the garden: tomato, bell peppers, multi-color mini bell peppers, jalapenos, more broc and many herbs.
I'll try to update as soon as I can! πŸ“πŸ…πŸ₯’

Oh there's more greenery and seed germination goin on inside the greenhouse! But Mother Nature is making sure the ground has enough moisture though...next Wednesday shows a low of 33. No indication of a light frost...yet.
