There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing a vision slowly come to life. Every project brings us one step closer to what we envision this place becoming. Today Neil was texting me, and I didn’t have my phone with me. When I finally replied, I said, “Sorry, I was out with the girls.”

Apparently, he spent a few minutes trying to figure out what girls’ night he had forgotten about.

The funny part? The “girls” were my chickens.

Somewhere along the way, “going out with the girls” changed from dinner and drinks to making sure a broody hen actually gets up to eat and drink, checking that everyone is staying cool in this heat, and collecting eggs before dark.

Oh, how life changes. 🐔😂
