Set backs are part of life. When you relocate from another state, and not only create a homestead, but also the infrastructure to make it viable, things happen. We've been so very blessed to have the support of great friends. Recently, we were lucky we didn't wind up in the wall of the tunnel or rolling the truck and causing a pile-up on I-40. Obviously we were very blessed in that moment. Is this heartbreaking that the truck we were driving belongs to one of our best friends? Absolutely. We made it home, thanks to another best friend who drove over 2 hours in the rain one way to load up the truck and us. What do you do when your buddy's truck gets trashed? Parts have been ordered, a great mechanic is going to work us in his schedule, we make it right, like it never happened. Our running joke on the Homestead every time there's a set back, "Before indoor plumbing, people pooped in the woods" so looks like no indoor plumbing for a few months more. We finally had momentum, and were making real progress. Well, this is only an obstacle to overcome. Everything we want is on the other side of this delay. No one was injured, and the truck is repairable. I'll be in the woods for a bit, if anybody needs me.
