Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what life outside the military could look like. And every time I say it out loud, I hear, “Are you sure? Why walk away now?” But here’s what they don’t always see. The burnout, the missed family time, the way I’ve found something that genuinely makes me happy. Maybe I don’t have every detail figured out yet, but I know what I’m craving. Peace, presence, and a chance to create. For the vets who made that jump, what was the moment you knew? And if you’re still serving and quietly thinking about it, what’s keeping you in?
