farm favorite ~ crushed purple cayenne pepper flakes

We start by growing and tending a special variety of purple cayenne pepper. We patiently wait for peek ripeness before we pick. The peppers hang dry on our porch for a few weeks, with a quick oven dry finish to remove all the moisture. We then remove the stems and crush each pepper by hand with a mortar and pestle. With the combination of this specific pepper and method you get the most exhilarating pepper flakes that you'll want in so many of your dishes. Use just a pinch for a flavorful heat that satisfies your spicy lover's pallet while not being too intense for those that don't love the heat.

We want to say thank you for all your love and support last weekend and throughout the season. We have had so many messages saying how much you love our cherry tomatoes and heirlooms. We continuously hear that our lettuce is your favorite. For some summer crops the season is beginning to slow down, but we are still starting and planting new crops and plan to grow year round.
Our next round of lettuce should be ready to harvest in a couple of weeks. We will keep you guys posted.

We have SOLD OUT of lettuce today. We will pick again in a few weeks! Our goal is to pick lettuce every few weeks for the rest of the year.

We have been busy busy here on the farm. Tomorrow is the big day! Our next round of lettuce will be harvested.
We will post as soon as it's picked, washed, bagged, and available for purchase. We are expecting a quick sell out for the first round so please be patient with us as we grow and sell as much as we can.
