There were 107 entries in the Name the Alpaca contest, at Mill Creek Alpacas

Gigi's one year old girls name is now:
Mill Creeks Jazzy!
Submitter: Pru Seymour.

Thanks to all the kiddos that participated. There were some really good names and it was very difficult to pick just one.

Lilly wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out to see her! We all had a blast and thanks to everyone who came out and made it a great day. Lilly was ready to go back to Mom however for a well-deserved snack 😅

We had Chester Rural Farm Day today and it was amazing. Over 600+ visitors. I want to thank our community businesses and Randolph County as well for helping us make this possible. I will make another post specifically to mention each and everyone. It was a great family day in our little town.

At Mill Creek Alpacas, we have a yearling female without a name. We will let the kiddos write down a name they like, then we will go through the entries and pick a winner.

Tomorrow (Saturday September 12) is THE DAY and we are ready. This is the map but we do have some printed ones available too. We want to sincerely thank all the farm owners, sponsors, and everyone else that helped make this possible. You can can go to each farm at your own pace and stay as long as you like. Please be respectful on our country roads, to the farm owners, to the volunteers, and to the animals. We have really tried to plan a wonderful experience. Stop at your first farm (your choice) and get a wristband (just helps us for attendance but NO admission charge) and a farm passport for the kiddos. Food, drinks, and potties are available on this journey as well.

Don't forget to support our food trucks, Juicy J's and Aunt Nette's. They will be open all day, so grab your lunch and a drink or two throughout the day. Then, come visit after you are finished at the farms. They will remain open after the farms close at 4pm.
