This is our 3D masterpiece, this was several months in the setup as i asked Mike several times over the previous year did he want to make any changes at all to the entrance sign, and as we collected old signs and leftovers from several routed jobs. Yes this sign was created from old signs we removed as well as leftovers from other jobs, there is actually very little new materials in this sign. It was a week in production where we took the old signs and cut them on a sawmill to thicknesses we needed and glued everything back together into dimensions we could fit into our cnc. As the sign is nearly 12 feet long and the cnc is 8 feet most of the parts were cut in stages and then assembled, the cnc did all the hard work of cutting everything to correct dimensions, all the background wood grain was added by hand, then came time for the painting. Our only stipulations on this sign was cheaper gold option, gold leaf was a little expensive and gold leaf vinyl pushed a budget the last time, so obviously 10k gold sign paint was the best fit, though we weren't given a budget on this! We added a little extra, changing the lime green to candy lime green which gave this sign that little extra pop when the sun hits just right, Mike Crawford was a little worried when I let him know we used some artistic license to make some slight changes. In the end I do believe the Crawfords were quite happy with the new Monster Truck Ranch, llc sign, and will be for a long time to come.
