🏁🏎️ And just like that… we’re getting back to normal around here! 🏎️🏁

After a crazy couple of weeks, it feels so good to get back to sharing some of the fun custom orders I’ve been working on!

This “First Lap Around” first birthday theme was SO much fun. ❤️🖤🤍 From the little tires and checkered flags to the racetrack treats and all those tiny details—I absolutely loved putting this one together!

Update

I am honestly overwhelmed by the response to my last post!❤️

What started as a small idea to hopefully bring a little sweetness to a really difficult week has turned into so much more than I ever expected.

More than 300 treats are being delivered and distributed today, with another 500 planned for this weekend. 🍦❤️

I’ll be delivering to as many places as possible today and helping our community get through this week.

To every person who commented, shared, reached out, offered suggestions, helped connect me with people who could use them, or simply sent a kind word — thank you.

And an especially huge thank you to the linemen, first responders, utility crews, tree crews, volunteers, local businesses, churches, organizations, neighbors, and everyone else who has stepped up to help. What I’m doing is such a tiny piece compared to what so many of you are doing every single day.

I can’t restore anyone’s power, remove a tree, repair a home, or undo what this storm has done. But I can make treats❤️

So that’s what I’m going to keep doing.

Thank you, Chesterton and Northwest Indiana, for reminding me once again what an incredible community we live in. Seeing everyone take care of one another this week has meant more than I can put into words.

800 little treats. Hopefully 800 little reasons to smile. ❤️

I am sorry if I can’t get to every event. I truly tried and genuinely wish I could make enough for everyone. I am giving it everything I have, and I hope these little treats bring at least a little bit of happiness to some people who really need it. ❤️

It’s been a really tough week for our community. ❤️

So many families are still dealing with power outages, storm damage, fallen trees, spoiled food, cleanup…and just the exhaustion that comes with having life turned upside down.

At the same time, it has been pretty incredible to watch people show up for one another. Neighbors helping neighbors, businesses and organizations providing meals and supplies, and countless utility workers, first responders, tree crews, public works employees and volunteers working incredibly long hours to get our community back toward normal.

My husband and I both grew up here, and this community means so much to us. I kept thinking about what I could possibly do to help.

I definitely can’t fix the electrical grid. 😂
I can’t cut down trees.
And you probably don’t want me anywhere near a power line. 😬

But I can make treats. And maybe I can make somebody smile. ❤️

So I made a whole bunch of these little ice cream cone cake pops, and I’d like to donate them. 🍦🎂

If there is a community cookout, neighborhood gathering, meal for utility workers/first responders, or somewhere else these could bring a little happiness today, please let me know. They are completely free. I just want them to go somewhere they can brighten a few people’s day.

It isn’t much, but sometimes a little sweetness helps. ❤️

FREE WATER now available at the Chesterton Fire Department

The Chesterton Fire Department is now distributing free bottles of water—a couple of pallets’ worth purchased by the Town of Chesterton—to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Each person PRESENT in the vehicle may take two bottles each.

Please access the CFD from the North Eighth Street entrance. On leaving you’ll be directed to the exit on Broadway.

Notice to Food Truck Operators — Free Lot Space Available

In response to the widespread power outages across Northwest Indiana, Bethlehem Lutheran Church is opening its parking lot for use by food trucks serving the community.

📍 2050 W 1100 N, Chesterton, IN

Details:
• You're welcome to set up — no advance permission or reservation needed.
• The lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Please be mindful of other trucks who may also be using the space.
• The church is not able to coordinate or monitor who is on-site at any given time, so please plan accordingly and communicate with any other trucks present.
• Please leave the space clean and clear of debris/trash when you go.

Please note: Bethlehem Lutheran Church is offering this space as a courtesy only. The church assumes no liability or responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, dispute, or other incident that may occur while using the lot. Use of the space is at each operator's own risk.

This space is offered simply to help you help our neighbors who are without power right now. Thank you for serving the community during this difficult time.

It’s only fitting that my final graduation order of the season is for one of my wonderful repeat customers.

📚✨ From inspiration to sweet reality… ✨📚

When a client sent me this beautiful inspiration photo, I couldn’t wait to bring it to life in chocolate.

For this special 12th birthday, I created a collection of custom cake pucks inspired by the magic of books and storytelling. Rich jewel tones, shimmering antique gold, open books, stacked novels, and personalized “12” details came together to create a dessert that was just as special as the birthday girl.

One of my favorite parts of creating custom treats is taking an idea and making it uniquely yours. Every order is handcrafted, and I love the challenge of transforming inspiration into something edible.
