Our management team is holding a strategy meeting today, and enjoying lunch catered by Market on the Hill, Inc.

Check them out for today's deli special, the Sourdough Sarah sandwich, plus delicious produce, Ropp Jersey Cheese olive spread and Dianne's killer chocolate chip cookies.

We rounded out our lunch with ice cold craft beers from Triptych Brewing and The Old Bakery Beer Company.

Sasse’s Apiary

Sasse’s Apiary is a family owned and operated small business that has proudly served Central Illinois for over 28 years. This journey began with a 10 year old Logan County 4-H’er, who was gifted two hives by a neighbor and mentored by a local legend (and Abe-impersonator), commercial beekeeper Charlie Ott. Along the way came many amazing experiences, including pollination services, a stint as State Bee Inspector, and many opportunities for collaboration and friendship within the beekeeping world.

Currently, we sell our honey and beeswax products in over 100 retail locations, as well as two local festivals each year where we get the chance to meet and talk with our customers, and showcase the products we are so proud of. We also sell package bees and queens each spring as the sole Illinois distributor for Gardner’s Apiaries, allowing us to refresh our hives each year and allow for quality, affordable access to honey bees to support pollinator populations and beekeeping hobbyists in our area.
