I know I’ve been quiet, but I wasn’t just resting—I was redesigning. 🕊️
The truth is, I almost walked away from Evolving Textures. I felt lost and tired of the hustle and the same old cycle. But instead of throwing in the towel, I decided to build a bigger table.

We’re officially sold out and inventory will be down for 8 weeks, but it’s for a reason that’s bigger than a restock. We’re rebuilding a Collective LLC—moving from solo-owned to sister-owned.

I’m laying it all out this Tuesday. The good, the hard, and the vision.

Today, we celebrate our incredible co-founder Nadra, whose vision and dedication helped shape Evolving Textures into what it is today.

Before the awards, schools, and products, there was just Nadra—a teenager braiding hair in her mom’s salon on the South Side of Chicago, chasing a dream (and a pair of Jordache jeans!). That first braid sparked a passion that grew into a purpose: to empower others through natural hair care and to make space for textured hair in an industry that too often left it out.
