Black and Blue BBQ is Chicago style BBQ. My brother and I have always loved meat, good meat, especially BBQ. In 2009 on a cold and windy as hell day on a 36th floor balcony armed with just a small Weber kettle and a love for BBQ an amazing thing started. We watched a family member cook ribs on a similar Weber and we were amazed. My brother and I asked each other, why can't we make our own ribs? We
thought our first slab was amazing and lightning struck in our minds... what else we can make? Out there against the wind and cold our passion was born. Laying somewhere between the meat and the smoke around the rub we aspired to become BBQ masters. Our mission was to be original with everything we did. We chose to create everything we would use in our BBQ and to not use anything commercially made. We went into our Q-Lab and with a s**t ton of testing and experimenting and developed our own sauces, rubs, and created our own original recipes. We shared our killer food with family and friends until BOOM! We had the in your face flavors we wanted. With a blue 22" Weber kettle, a 18" Weber Smokey Mountain, Black and Blue BBQ was born. Chicago style BBQ that is so good it will make you want to punch someone in the face. My brother and I decided to take our talents to the competition circuit, challenging some of the most talented pit masters in the country. Black and Blue BBQ is a competition team to be reckoned with traveling throughout the midwest and beyond, always representing the city we love, Chicago.
