It was all a dream… we created the first Freshie in 2015 on a family trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We called it tequila water. Simple ingredients with low sugar to keep the party going for morning adventures ahead and sunset sippers to take in another day in paradise. When we returned home to Chicago we made Freshies everywhere at the beach, bbqs, nightclubs and all over the country while we toured for . We realized this solo cup cocktail was special and went to work to actually create it for the world to enjoy.

Fate and friends led us to , a historic tequila distillery in Guadalajara, Mexico known for using organic agave and an immense focus on sustainability. Everything we could dream of in a partner.

Fast forward to 2020 and we launched the world’s first organic tequila seltzer Freshie! We are innovators in the RTD tequila space and could have been the first tequila seltzer ever, but being organic was more important to us than just packaging up some liquid for a quick profit. We may have been naive, but we wanted to change how people drink and think about alcohol. Agave spirits are spiritual and have an essence about them like no other and paired with organic and sustainable initiatives makes Freshie a very special cocktail in a world of fast unconscious options. Meant to sip enjoy with family and friends, Freshie was created for you, for us, and for all those that want a cleaner option. This dream all started with one simple flavor the OG Lime!
