Step 1: Make pastrami. (Yes, from scratch. Yes, it's worth it. No, we won't apologize.)

Step 2: Chunk up the deuce - slather every single side of your bread with Giardonnaise®. All of them. Trust the process.

Step 3: Stack more pastrami than you think is reasonable. Then add more. We're not here to be reasonable.

Step 4: Swiss cheese. Sauerkraut. Don't skip either. This isn't a negotiation.

Step 5: Grill it. On a pan, on that flat top you won't stop talking about — whatever. Just make it golden.

Step 6: Take approximately 400 photos. Your mom will ask to see your vacation pictures, get immediately frustrated by the sandwich content, hand your phone back, then realize she's hungry. She'll ask what the sauce is. You'll tell her. She'll ask for a sandwich. You'll make one. You'll then realize you could have just told her about Giardonnaise® two weeks ago and saved yourself an entire pastrami project. No regrets. Double the pastrami. Double the photos for next time.

Step 7: Post it. Tag us.

It’s one of the best spots in the city to discover local makers, great food, and things you didn’t know you needed… until you try them.

Come try it for yourself. Fair warning, one taste usually does it.

Some sandwiches are made. This one is summoned. This isn't a BLT. This is a spiritual event between two slices of bread. Whether you go mild, medium, or hot, Giardonnaise® turns a humble sammich into a main character moment.

You're welcome in advance.

BLTG = Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Giardonnaise
Ingredients:
2 slices of homemade sour diesel (sourdough bread)
3 strips of bacon from a pasture-raised hog (non-negotiable)
Handful of cherry tomatoes, sliced by sword
2 leaves of lettuce
Giardonnaise® (mild, medium or hot)

Instructions:
Bake bread. Store-bought is for quitters.
Cook bacon in a cast-iron skillet forged by Viking descendants. Anything else will ruin the flavor profile.
Rinse and massage the lettuce gently.
Spread Giardonnaise® with the precision of a neurosurgeon (see photo above for example).
Take 47 photos for Instagram before your first bite and tag .
Spend the rest of the day telling everyone about your life-changing sammich.
