DucknRoll, Chicago’s newest addition to the food truck revolution, is a concept inspired by Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches, with a contemporary take on flavors from China, Japan, Korea and Thailand. After devoting the past few years helping hungry diners discover great local delivery and pickup restaurants at GrubHub.com, Co-Owner Amy Le decided to partner with Chicago restaurateur, Bing Zhou, to b

ring their love for Asian street food to the food loving peeps of Chicago. Showcasing the elemental-influenced yin and yang of flavor notes common in Asian cuisines (salty, bitter, sour, spicy and sweet), DucknRoll sandwiches are made with a baguette holding pate or varied meats and garnished with fresh herbs and vegetables— the standout among those in this case being the 5spice Duck Roll of DucknRoll’s namesake. Other featured sandwiches on the menu include the Miso Short Rib Bánh Mì, Cantonese Pork Belly Bánh Mì, Thai Chicken Curry Bánh Mì and Vietnamese Lemon Grass Chicken Bánh Mì.

Getting ready to head out to Solemnn Oath Brewery 1661 Quincy Ave. Naperville, IL 5:30pm-7:30pm. Tonight's menu is our bao style taco (miso short ribs, five spice duck, BBQ Pork, Thai chicken curry, and tofu). I will also have a limited amount of duck gumbo soup for those that requested it last time but we didn't have it on our truck. See you all soon!
