Chicago Meat Authority employs almost 400 people on three shifts, and is headquartered in the historic Chicago Stockyards. These business philosophies have produced a very dedicated and experienced workforce with 70% of CMA employees celebrating 5+ years. The company has finished off their most recent expansion which includes a new 20,000 square foot USDA-inspected plant located directly across 47th Place from CMA’s current plant.

Today Chicago Meat Authority celebrated our 36th year in business! To commemorate the anniversary, our President and Founder Jordan Dorfman addressed all CMA employees with a state-of-the-union speech in our plant. Jordan also handed out career-service awards to our team members celebrating 5-, 10-, and 25-year anniversaries with CMA. This year CMA had two Diamond League members celebrating 25 Years with the company - Eva Iniestra and Taiwo Sheleru! Thank you Eva and Taiwo for your dedication and everything you’ve given to CMA.

36 years in business is no small feat! To be successful in the meat industry takes years of hard work, dedication, loyal partners, and of course great meat. Over the last 36 years, we have created a better way for food service professionals and further processors to buy meat - with assured quality and integrity. To ensure continued quality and integrity with our products and services, we have grown with the times and upgraded capabilities, products, packaging, and more over the years. Starting at just 12 employees in 1990, CMA now has over 200 full-time team members to keep up with our worldwide customer base that needs quality beef, pork, and poultry products. We have built strong relationships with our partners that do business in retail, food manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and all the way up to Fortune 500 companies across the globe.
At CMA, we strive to make sure every case or combo bin that our team sends out is packed with quality meat that every partner can trust to satisfy their hungry customers. After all, CMA would not be where it is today without our loyal partners that we have grown with over the last three and a half decades. Last week we held our annual CMA Employee Appreciation lunch for our team! What started as a small way to show our appreciation for our hardworking team has now turned into an annual tradition that our group looks forward to every year.
