We know that many of you have been asking about our Eid on the Farm event. Due to some farm and off-farm matters, we have decided to post-pone our annual Eid on the Farm until 2015. JOB DESCRIPTION: Office Assistant

Application Deadline: Until position is filled
Salary: Depends on qualifications
Location: Chicago, IL; and remotely
Schedule: Part-time, 10-20hrs/wk, occasional evening and weekend hours

Position Summary:
This is a new position that will serve a central role in connecting the backend and frontend of Whole Earth’s current operations. This is an entry-level position. A very dedicated and interested person will thrive in this position. There is opportunity for promotion.

The Office Assistant will work closely with the Managing Director, especially in the early days of job assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Field customer inquiries via telephone and internet
• Co-develop and manage social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook)
• Co-develop sustainability and stewardship content
• Coordinate visits with farmers and abattoirs
• Support Marketing and IT teams

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 1+ years experience working as an Office Assistant or Personal Assistant
• Experience coordinating efforts amongst staff, contractors, and volunteers
• Interest and familiarity with issues relating to organic farming and humane animal welfare
• Candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit
• We expect candidates to have a strong attention of detail and able to keep order whether its digital files or office equipment
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in all MS office applications
• Track record in a variety of social media platforms
• Candidates should have a valid drivers license
