🧨 Day 10 of 13 Left 🧨

An ode to the beer that truly kicked the doors open for Alarmist: Le Jus.

We were once hesitant to brew a hazy IPA. At the time, we thought of them as lazy and ugly—a style we had no interest in chasing. But curiosity (and the science behind making a proper one) got the best of us.

So in 2017, our head brewer, Aaron Dahl, went on a mission. He tasted more hazy IPAs than he’d care to admit, studied the style inside and out, and after many iterations, landed on the beer you now know as Le Jus.

In 2018, it went on to win the first-ever Gold Medal for Hazy IPA at the Great American Beer Festival. That moment changed everything. It put us on the map, became our calling card, and launched what the kids might call a “generational run.”

It wasn’t just our love for Le Jus—it was yours. That collective belief in this beer is what carried Alarmist forward and made so much of what followed possible.

Tuesday was our final packaging run of it. If you’d like one last taste of what we’re proud to call a small piece of American craft beer history, come grab a fresh pint in the taproom and a few to take home.

Cheers to Le Jus. And cheers to you. 🍻

🧨 Day 9 of 13 Left 🧨

As we get closer to our final day, we just want to say thank you.

Thank you for more than 10 years of support. Your belief in us helped turn ideas into reality, dreams into something tangible, and a little brewery into a place filled with connection, creativity, and care.

Over that time, just shy of 20 people have called Alarmist their workplace, their second home, their community. The love and respect we shared as a staff was real, and you let us extend that love outward to all of you.

Thank you for letting us be part of your lives, your celebrations, your quiet nights, your loud ones, and everything in between.
We’re forever grateful.

We're open at 4pm so let's drink some beer!!

🧨 Day 8 of 13 Left 🧨

Our brewer Michael went a little extra for these final days and crafted a couple special treats for you to enjoy. On tap starting today!

Polar Volcano — Cold IPA w/ Hibiscus
Bright, crisp, and bursting with citrusy hop character, kissed with a subtle floral pop from hibiscus.

Runemaster — Castle & Key Rye Barrel-Aged Stout
A deep, rich stout with a gentle kick from guajillo pepper, layered with cocoa nibs and cinnamon for warmth, complexity, and just the right amount of spice.

Two very different beers.
Both made with a whole lot of heart.
Come raise a glass and savor them while they’re still pouring.

🧨 Day 7 of 13 Left 🧨

It’s the final week.

Let’s do it the way we know best — with great food, great music, and the people who’ve made this place what it is.

Tacos Las Manitas | 5–8PM
Our longtime friends are bringing out a special just for us: Carnitas tacos made specifically for Alarmist. One last round of the flavors that have fed this taproom so well over the years.

Smoke Staff BBQ | 4–8PM
Back for the finale with the heavy hitters:
Pastrami with Le Jus & Swiss cheese sauce, pulled pork, and a lineup of sides made to pair with beer and memories.

The Chancers | 9–10PM
Close out the night with live music, pints raised, and voices lifted one more time.

Final week. Final run.
Come be part of it.

🧨 Day 6 of 13 Left 🧨

Sundays have always been for lagers. And there’s none better than Crispy Boy.

Our Pilsner was first brewed in 2019 by our original head brewer, Aaron Dahl. It was the very first lager we ever made. Tweaked and refined over the years, it’s remained beautifully true to itself since 2021. It’s become a house favorite, a Chicago favorite, and for many, the standard of what a great pilsner should be.

We are endlessly grateful to all of you who have loved this beer for so long. Through your continued imbibing, Crispy Boy truly grew into one of Chicago’s finest pilsners.

Come enjoy one off the Lukr tap in all its soft, foamy glory.
Take one (or a few) home and put it where it truly belongs — the crisper drawer. 🍻

🧨 Day 5 of 13 Left 🧨

Milo’s Market | 2–6PM (Updated Time)
Come grab some of the best Mexican-inspired street food in Chicago. We’re lucky to have Milo’s in our orbit. They’ve been a constant friend of the taproom, showing up with heart, hustle, and seriously comforting food.

And a little moment for Pantsless…
Our very first beer. The one that started it all. It’s been brewed, tweaked, and refined over the years, and in 2020 it even brought home a Bronze Medal at GABF. We don’t have many cases left at the taproom, so if you’ve ever loved this beer, now’s the time to snag some to go before it's gone.

🧨 Day 4 of 13 Left 🧨

Raza’s Pizza | 4–8PM
Their incredibly light focaccia sandwiches are being slung, and they’ve been fantastic friends to us over the years—so come enjoy a true taste of Chicago from folks we’re proud to call part of our community.

It’s supposed to be cold out, but we’re Chicagoans — a little weather has never stopped us from grabbing a beer.

Come in, snag a Crispy Boy, and split a focaccia sandwich with your best bud. Share the beer, share the food… or don’t. No judgment here.

It’s one of our last Fridays, so we’re cranking the ’90s jams as the lights go to and fro.

See you tonight. 🍻
