Sourdough bread is a naturally fermented bread made slowly over time using a starter instead of commercial yeast.

It contains only sourdough starter, water, flour, and salt — nothing else.

Sourdough matters.
- Easier to digest for some people
- Can cause a smaller blood sugar spike compared to regular bread
- Sometimes better tolerated by sensitive stomachs
