Recently, a customer came into Southport Grocery with one mission: to bring a taste of home back to a friend he was visiting. That friend was Terry Opalek, the founder of Terrys Toffee

“I was craving something sweet and remembered friends recently brought us some of Terry’s Toffee from Southport Grocery in Chicago. Cracked open McCall’s Dark. The packaging and logo have changed, but the flavor is as delicious as always. Yum 😋”

It’s our anniversary this Sunday! We can’t believe it’s been 23 years, and it’s crazy to look back and see all the people that have come and been part of this restaurant. We’re so incredibly grateful for our amazing staff and wonderful customers. We couldn’t have stayed open for over two decades without you!

To celebrate and show our thanks, we’ll be giving away free mini cupcakes this Sunday, while supplies last! So come in, grab brunch and a cupcake, and celebrate with us 🥳🧁

Summer Supper Series part two is next week and it’s taco night! $38 gets you four tacos, two squash blossom and two carnitas with veggie rice. It also comes with a jicama salad starter and tres leches cake for dessert.

And we can’t forget the refreshing tequila jungle bird cocktail from Chuchaqui Cocktails ! Made with Lapo’s non-alcoholic Aperitivo, with the same cocktail available as non-alcoholic.

(You can also try add-ons like homemade chips and guac, black beans and pico de gallo.)

We’re back next month, Thursday the 16th for part two of our Summer Supper Series! And This time it’s taco night.

Like last time, we’re celebrating summer with an early dinner date, featuring a pre fixe menu. Each ticket gets you:

~ tacos (meat and vegetarian options available)
~ a few surprise sides featuring addictive ‘guac’ and chips
~ served with a specialty crafted cocktail or mocktail from Chuchaqui Cocktails
~ delicious tres leches cake for dessert
~ with additional adds-on also available

Seating starts at 4:30pm and ends at 6:30pm, come in anytime between.
