All orders are considered, but not all may be taken if my schedule is too full (early orders are the best orders because I can spend more time on your custom creation!) Everything is handmade, from scratch. No boxed mixes, or premade frostings. Each product is individually handcrafted by mys

elf, and each item is unique. All orders are processed through a pricing software to ensure a fair price, and avoid under/over charging for all parties. Orders preferred at least one week in advance, but rush orders are occasionally taken.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for the entire team. For the past 6 1/2 years, I have been lucky enough to work alongside Erin and the rest of the incredibly talented women who make ECBG Studio what it is- my home away from home that always has the cake snack I'm looking for 😏.
As long as I've known her, Erin has always encouraged my weirdness and pushed me to be a better cake artist, and it has helped the team and I create some truly incredible cakes. I'm so grateful we met and stayed in touch all those years ago because there was no one I would have rather taken on Sugar Rush Christmas with! Even though we did not win, it led to me working for ECBG! ❤️
But in all seriousness, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and again- there is no better cake studio in Chicago than ECBG. From the cake itself to all the amazing women who run it, ECBG is truly a gem in a sea of average bakeries.
But this year, the holiday season is hitting me differently. For years, I have had problems with my wrists from kneading fondant daily, but this past year has been the worst to date. So, in July, I made the tough decision to retire from cake art at the end of 2024. I've spent the past few months training my replacement Margaret .m.up who is going to absolutely kill it in my place next year. It's not really goodbye - I'll be back when and if they need an extra hand, but it is going to make me sad not to see the bakery crew every week 😭
So what's in store for me next year? GLASS, and LOTS of it. I have some really fun classes coming up next year and I will also be doing some classes at a few local breweries, too! Oh, and my glass commissions are OPEN for next year! I'm really excited to have more time to explore my creativity and experiment more with glass- especially painting and learning more about fusing! So expect a lot more glass content, and be sure to stop by one of my markets to say hi! (I have FIVE more markets this year!)
All this is to say, if you need a cake, for the love of God, DO NOT call me 😂 Unless you are my parents of my grandma, I will direct you straight to ECBG Studio ❤️

Repost from my ALTER EGO
》This is one of the first pieces I ever drew a pattern for. It has many flaws and has been sitting in a drawer cut, ground, foiled, and waiting to be soldered for two years now 😬. It was time to get it out of there and just finish it up to make room for more projects and commissons that I need space for. This piece, which I made for no one but myself, was designed at a time when I was finally setting the boundary of not making cakes at home for people anymore and also feeling better about saying no and choosing me and my free time first.
I still get asked a lot if I can make someone a cake. My answer is always "No, but you can contact and we can make you an awesome cake there!"
For real, baking cakes at home with one oven and one 7 qt mixer is incredibly time consuming/stressful and I honestly have always enjoyed the decorating aspect more than the baking aspect anyways 🤷‍♀️. This way I get to make cool stuff without having to bake and get to hang with a bunch of awesome women- it's a win/win! So please if you need cake, I'm *personally* not your girl. You know who is? The entire team over at

I won't be returning to Etsy. I do not sell toppers or sprinkles online any longer or take cake orders as I work a full time bakery job that is more fulfilling. But you can still find my stickers, pins, food safe molds, and artwork over on my new website www.NoneOfThisIsCake.com

Why the Etsy strike?
We are striking to protest Etsy’s treatment of sellers. We will put our shops on vacation mode April 11-18. Those of us who can will strike for the whole week, and some of us are striking only for April 11.

Buyers can support the strike too, by boycotting Etsy from April 11-18, and looking for ways outside of Etsy to support sellers.

These are our demands:
Cancel the fee increase.
Crack down on resellers with a comprehensive plan that is transparent, so sellers can hold Etsy accountable.
Give ‘Golden’ support tickets to sellers affected by extreme AI actions (account termination, 45/90 day holds, etc.)
End the Star Seller Program.
Give all sellers the ability to opt out of off site ads.
