We’re excited to partner with Chicago Climate Connect and for a special evening hosted by .
Join us on May 4 for a screening of The Plastic Detox—a documentary exploring how everyday plastic exposure impacts our health, and what it looks like to rethink our dependence on single-use.

Before and after the film, stick around for conversation and network with Chicago’s climate community. We’ll also have local organizations tabling, including 350 Chicago and , with simple, tangible ways to take action during the event.

What if plastic isn’t just a waste problem—but a human health crisis?

Last week at Kadeya HQ, we hosted , author of The Problem with Plastic, for a conversation that challenged how we think about the role of plastic in our lives—and in our bodies.
Here’s what stuck with us:
Plastic pollution isn’t just about what ends up in landfills or oceans. It’s about toxins entering our ecosystems—and ourselves.
Today, the true cost of plastic is externalized onto consumers and communities, while single-use systems remain the default.
And yet—there’s momentum.
Policy is emerging as one of the most powerful levers to reduce single-use packaging at the source, not just manage it after the fact.
At Kadeya, this is exactly the system we’re rethinking.
