Today, August 23rd from 1:00pm-9:00pm is the final day of Access Contemporary Music Thirsty Ears Festival! It's Chicago's ONLY Classical music fest and it was such a great experience. Listen to your favorite pieces on the main stage or grab some food and browse some booths. You don't want to miss this awesome event.

Confession: none of us had eaten a kumquat before this month.

Some of us had heard of it, others pass it by in the grocery store with curiousity. Then Jen finally grabbed a bag and we all stood in the kitchen eating them like grapes, skin and all.

That’s the whole point with these things: sweet peel, sour center. Backwards from every other citrus. That “wait, I actually love this” moment is why Kumquat Lemonade exists now!

Barely bigger than a grape. Almost as much vitamin C as an orange. And the peel, (the part you’d normally toss), is where a lot of the good stuff lives. Swipe for the facts that had us Googling kumquats at 11pm 🍊

We were VERY fortunate and grateful for our neighbors for looking out for us

If our neighbor has not said anything, we may have not been able to open today

✨Introducing: Our NEW Kumquat Lemonade 🍊🍋

It’s taken me a few months, but finally we have LEMONADE

This was a challenging project because… I don’t like lemonade (I know, this is a hot take)

For research purposes, I did (force myself to) try countless types of lemonades from all across the country

Pink lemonades, blue spirulina lemonades, even a random lychee lemonade (it was not good)

And finally, after MONTHS of trials, I created the ultimate lemonade

Kumquats are a naturally sweet/tart fruit, which makes them PERFECT for lemonade

As a fun flare, we have REAL kumquats at the bottom of each cup so you can eat the fruit too!

Anyways, I promised I would only sell things that I love and wow - I absolutely love this lemonade. I hope you do too 💛
