: someone who makes predictions about what is going to happen in the future. We are Soothsayer Hot Sauce; purveyors of homemade, all natural, small batch hot sauce from Chicago, Illinois. We are very proud of our hometown heritage and strive to incorporate it into all aspects of our operation. From produce suppliers to design work to printing, we partner with area bus
inesses and artists to promote growth and creativity in our own backyard. Our vegan, gluten free products are all recipes of our own creation and contain no added sugars or chemical preservatives of any kind. Unlike a number of our fellow hot sauce companies, we do not try to bring you to tears or ‘light your ass on fire’ in any number of gaudy ways depicted on so many of our competitors’ bottles. Focusing on taste over punishment, we create flavor profiles meant to accentuate and assist foods rather than demolish and destroy palates. If you are looking to prove your masculinity as a Scoville scale strongman, you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you enjoy adding a burst of heat to any and everything you eat, we’re happy to help. Currently, we have three full time/full production sauces, which are available on our web store or at various markets and events around the Chicagoland area. Perdition, an orange habanero sauce, combines the spice and tang of orange habaneros with carrots and bell peppers to present one of the freshest tasting hot sauces you will ever have. While Harbinger, a roasted red pepper and manzano blend, is a savory sauce with a lingering back burn that will make you question how you ever ate pizza without this sauce. As part of our commitment to independent venture and art, we work with bands both in the Chicago and national punk scenes to develop themed, limited run hot sauces. From a sprayable sauce for a police themed punk band to releasing the first ever album via hot sauce, we try to craft products as unique as the bands we work with. Some of our projects have included:
