Now that’s a nice lil storm. The electricity is out so I had to stop cleaning….darn😂 but it’s dark enough outside that the mushroom lit up so there’s that lil ray of happy✌️🫶🏼 🍄‍🟫

This is maybe 1/4 of my garlic harvest. I have garlic drying everywhere, lol. This will carry me through a year of fresh cooking and what’s left will be made into garlic powder and garlic salt. What you see hanging beneath the garlic is yarrow. Not only is it beautiful in bouquets but it has some pretty amazing healing benefits. Yarrow contains the alkaloid achilleine which promotes blood clotting and constricts blood vessels. It also has antimicrobial properties so not only does it help stop bleeding but it helps protect minor cuts and scrapes from infection. It can also be made into a tincture and used to ease digestive discomfort and to soothe menstrual cramps. I am drying this for yarrow powder to add to my apothecary. ✌️🫶🏼

The first one has arrived and isn’t she a beauty??? This is the Lisianthus, one of the Voyage series but I’m not sure which one. If you purchased a Summer Subscription, you can be looking for your first bouquet within the next couple weeks. ✌️🫶🏼💐

The Campanula aka Canterbury bells(doesn’t that sound much more romantic, lol), are beginning to bloom. We added a new color to the mix this year. They aren’t blooming yet but stay tuned. They won’t be far behind. ✌️🫶🏼💐

I love the whole process of growing things from seed and this part of the cycle is so cool to see. This little plant came from a little seed but it hasn’t quite shed the seed shell.✌️🫶🏼🌻

The Loofah Queen aka Loofin’round said she thought I would get some sponges from these gourds even though they probably won’t totally dry before our first few frost nights. I’m so excited. I was afraid I would lose them. Thank you, Loofinround!!!

I regret to tell you that we will not have honey at the Farmstand this weekend after all. I messaged with the bee keeper yesterday and he has completely sold out for the season! Don’t let that stop you from coming out to pick up a pumpkin for carving and some fresh cut and/or dried flowers. We look forward to seeing you this coming Saturday✌️🫶🌻🎃
