Hey, farm friends!

It’s been a while and we wanted to share a few updates! First, we’ve said a bittersweet goodbye to cherries out at the farm and will not have ANY cherries at L+T going forward, permanently. 🚫🍒 Despite our best efforts over the past several years, mitigating the weather and the birds has proven to be more difficult and expensive each year, so we made the tough call to remove those trees and focus on peaches & nectarines. We truly enjoy everyone loving our fruit and enjoying picking days out at the farm–so we appreciate the understanding!

Speaking of peaches & nectarines–they’re looking great so far! Pending nature and changes in weather, we’re looking at some mid-to-late June opening dates for peach season–stay tuned for official updates! 🍑

If you’re looking for some great fruit picking opportunities instead, check out the Boysen Berry Farm in Orland for delicious boysenberries–open now! Howdy Farm Friends!

Thank you all for a wonderful peach (and nectarine!) season. We appreciate all the love and support from the community.

Heads up, as we are slowing heading into fall. We will NOT be open for a pumpkin patch this year. We loved sharing another season with you, but it wasn’t in the cards this year.

As we enter our busy behind-the-scenes season, we get quiet on social media. Don’t worry, we are looking forward to being back in 2026!

UPDATE!! 📣

We’ve been BUSY with peach pickers this morning, so here’s the morning update:

🍑Peaches are running low, so we’ll likely run out soon—likely in the next hour or so—come out soon for the best chance at the best selection! There are PLENTY of nectarines to pick still!

☕️💐🧁 Our vendor pals .coffeeco and are out here until 12pm still—grab a coffee and a cupcake, make a bouquet, and enjoy a fun day out at the farm! ☀️

🚨Peach update!🚨
We had a lot of peach pickers out at the farm today, which means that tomorrow, Saturday 7/26 will likely be our LAST day of peach season! If you want to ensure you get your last round of peaches for the year, come out on Saturday and arrive earlier for the best selection! We like will not be open Sunday 7/27, but will be open on Saturday from 7:30am-12:00pm!

BUT, it’s going to be a super fun day for the whole family with our friends out at the farm with us all day:

⏰ While we encourage you coming early for a good selection, we need time to set up after chores in the morning! NO EARLY BIRDS—picking will not be permitted before 7:30am.
📦 Remember to bring your own boxes and containers to pick in! We are completely out of our standard size boxes and will not have many of the smaller extras. Please just bring boxes for yourself—don’t bring any to leave at the farm, please!
🥒We will not have ANY pre-picked fruit available, but will have the farm stand stocked with veggies and tomatoes!

Last call for peaches (and nectarines), y’all! 🍑 This will be our last weekend of peach picking for the season and we’re excited to end the summer with another weekend of picking and lots of fun! Here’s this week’s rundown:

It was such a fun and busy Saturday of peach picking fun! We’re enjoying our haul from our pals that were out at the farm today, and are excited to be open again for You-Pick on Sunday from 7:30am-12pm! Here are some updates to note before coming out tomorrow:

WHAT’S RIPE
🍑Gene Elbertas - last day for these!!
🍑 Contender Yellow Peach*
🍑 Limited amount - Fantasia Yellow Nectarines*
*these varieties are just starting to ripen, so be sure to look for the warm red-orange color all the way around each piece of fruit to ensure ripeness! A firm piece of fruit doesn’t mean an unripe one—just look for the right color!*

☀️ALL other varieties have all been picked with none left on the trees—so this is what we have available for Sunday 7/20! Arrive by 11:30am to pick!

📦 Reminder to please bring your own boxes to pick into! We do not have enough to provide for everyone, nor the storage to store extras, so just bring what you need for your own fruit!

☀️And stay tuned for hours for next week—our last week of peach season! While we likely won’t be open the full weekend, we’ll be open for at least one more day next week with our friends .coffeeco and Denine's Cupcakes! 🫶🏻

The classic Chico summer heat is here and with that, we’ve got LOTS of ripe fruit for the weekend! We’ll be open our normal hours: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7/11-7/13 from 7:30am-12pm, or until the ripe fruit runs out! Here’s what ripe this week:

Yellow Peaches

🍑Gene Elbertas—these are just turning ripe, so they’re not *all* ready to pick yet—keep your eyes peeled for that red-dark orange peachy color!

Yellow Nectarines

And a few things to remember:
☀️A firm peach doesn’t mean an unripe or flavorless peach! Look for the warm colors to indicate ripeness and let them soften on the counter for a day if you like a softer texture, or enjoy them right after picking for a firmer texture, but just as much flavor!
🕰️ We plan to be open 7:30am-12pm (arrive by 11:30am for picking) Friday-Sunday, but that’s dependent on ripe fruit availability! Check our pages before coming out to be sure we’re still open!
📦And while we’re still asking customers to bring their own boxes, please do not bring any extra boxes to leave at the farm! We’ve had a few generous folks leave some extras, but we’re out of room to store them, so just bring what you need for your own peaches!

It’s been a beautiful morning at the farm and we’ve seen so many fun and creative box options filled with ripe, beautiful fruit! 🍑

With that, we’re seeing that the amount of ripe fruit that’s on the trees is slimming out as more gets picked and other varieties aren’t quite ripe yet, so we’ll be CLOSED THIS SUNDAY 7/6.

If you’re hoping to pick fruit this weekend, come out to the farm before 12pm today to pick! Otherwise, we’ll catch you with lots of ripe fruit next week! 🫶🏻
