🫐 Dreaming of Blueberry Season! 🫐

I may not have any fresh blueberries right now, but I couldn’t resist sharing this delicious blueberry yogurt bowl! 😋💙

Our blueberry bushes are resting and getting ready for next season. After losing our entire blueberry crop this year because of the late freeze, I’m already looking forward to seeing those beautiful little berries growing again. 🌱🫐

Until then, I’ll just have to enjoy blueberry recipes like this one and dream about next season! 😂

Here’s to a bigger and better blueberry season next year2027! 💙🫐

💜American Beautyberry Jam Recipe 💜

Have you ever made jam from beautyberries? These beautiful little purple berries make the most gorgeous, homemade jam! 🌿✨

Ingredients:•
4 cups ripe American beautyberries•
4 cups sugar•
1 box powdered pectin•
1½ tablespoons lemon juice•
½ cup water

Instructions:

🫐 Rinse the beautyberries well and remove any stems or leaves.

Add berries and ½ cup water to a pot. Bring to a boil and gently crush the berries as they cook.

Simmer for about 10–15 minutes.

Strain the cooked berries through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing gently to extract the juice. You should have about 3 cups of juice.

Pour the juice back into the pot and add lemon juice and pectin.

Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.

Add the sugar all at once and return to a rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and skim off any foam.

Ladle into clean, hot jars, leaving the proper headspace. Process according to your preferred tested canning method.

💜 And that’s it! Beautiful, jewel-colored beautyberry jam made from a wild Florida berry!

Have you ever tried beautyberry jam? Would you give it a try? 🌿

Note: For shelf-stable canning, use a tested recipe and follow current USDA/NCHFP processing guidance rather than relying only on the recipe above.
