Today, August 31st from 5-dark will be our last day opening for sunflowers this year! The heat has really done a number on the flowers and they are maturing quickly! We hope you get to come out this evening to enjoy them and if not come see us next year!

We are opening today at noon! Come out and enjoy the flowers with us! We will have some seasonal produce, freezer meats, and honey available for purchase! Parking is in the field next to 255 Higby Rd. Look for the tents and the entrance sign!

🌻🌻🌻 ATTENTION: SUNFLOWER ANNOUNCEMENT! 🌻🌻🌻
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST!

🌻 DRESBACH FARMS will be opening their SUNFLOWER FIELDS this Friday August 28- August 31st to the public! Dresbach Farms Higby Rd, Chillicothe, Ohio 🌻(we may extend days depending on the life of the flowers)

🌻 HOURS: MONDAY - FRIDAY 5PM TO DARK
SATURDAY - NOON TO DARK
SUNDAY - 3PM TO DARK
*** PLEASE FOLLOW THESE TIMES!

🌻 PRICES: $5 PER PERSON to enter the sunflower fields. {12 and under are free under supervision of paying adult} Please pay and sign waiver at the tent! Follow the signs to park in designated areas!

🌻 $1 PER FLOWER OR $10 FOR 12

🌻 NO pets or animals allowed!

🌻 We will have clippers for sunflowers that will be sanitized after each use. Feel free to bring your own set of clippers if desired.

🌻 BE ADVISED : ELECTRIC FENCE surrounding the perimeter of all fields and livestock. Also - BEES are heavily populated in the sunflower fields.

🌻 PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS: $100 PER EVENING {5pm-dark} for mini sessions. Please message to get on our schedule - only limited photographers per evening! YOU will be required to get your clients to and from the fields. There will be a designated space for you! Please check in at the tent before your sessions. {no pets allowed}

It’s hay season! We are getting things cut, baled and stored in the hay barn to prepare food for the cattle for this winter! The stretch of dry weather this week should let us get caught up!

Our little calves are growing like weeds! We love watching their little personalities shine through! 💕 this group of young heifers are feisty, but have learned to respect the electric fence and stay with their Mommas already!

At the end of May these two celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary and yesterday evening we were able to take a break from the crazy summer farm schedule for a family dinner to celebrate!

After dinner the great grandkids played in the front yard, while the rest of us sat around and listened to the story of how Joe and Marlene met, and some of the wisdom they’ve learned along the way!

The love these two share has been poured into this family and our farm and we are so thankful for all the blessings that have come from it!

So we are wishing a Happy Anniversary Marlene and Joe, the hearts from which this farm began! 💕
