We raise performance bred Quarter Horses with bloodlines such as Driftwood, Hancock, Three/Sugar Bars, Peppy San, Tanquerey Gin, Dash for Cash, Streakin Six, Colonel Freckles, Peponita, & More. My dad started our breeding operation using mares that he had purchased from Tots Walkup, who worked very closely with Walter Merrick. And since then, the whole operation has seemed to expand.

Texana Sugar Tia is a 5 year old bay mare. She stands 15.1hh and is halter broke but not broke to ride. We really like this mare but we have too many Tweety daughters and need to let a few of them go. She is completely sound to potentially ride or breed.
We carried this mare to the first driftwood sale- so she's hauled, stayed overnight and handled it all well.

Our Story

John and Kay Atchison started raising quarter horses in 1999 in Quanah, Texas. We specialize in arena horses while looking to preserve many lines that have seemed to fade away. Most of our operation focuses on Ike Rude, Driftwood, and Red Man lines. We do our best to produce a quality horses with a great mind, plenty of bone, and a substantial amount of power. Our foals are all ranch raised with very little human interaction until they are weaned.

We also have more modern cutting bred foals as well.
