🌾 Farm Wife Reflections 🌾
This picture popped up in my memories today—Little Cow and Bo when he was just a baby.
And for some reason, this one got me.
Little Cow’s hide finally came home last week, and now here he is in my memories, standing beside Bo.
Little Cow was my first cow. My first bottle baby. My first everything. Before all the others, before I knew how attached I could get, before I understood how much these animals could become part of my heart—there was him.
He taught me how to love this life.
And he also taught me that sometimes loving them doesn’t mean you get to keep them.
I’d be lying if I said I don’t still miss him.
There have been a lot of cows since Little Cow, including that little guy standing beside him who changed everything in his own way.
But there will never be another first.
And Little Cow will forever be mine.
