Furring the hammer in at my shop over the weekend, 12 individuals had the chance to take a class on how to make knives. There were two separate classes going on at the same time with their own instructors, and here is what it looked like at the end on day 1. All blades heat treated, tempered, ground, and handled, letting the epoxy dry over night.

For the EDC cutting competition this time, I used a BROKEN knife that was quickly reground to a **somewhat** useable blade. Had a great weekend hosting a Texas Knifemakers Hammer-In. There’s was lots of classes, hands on teaching, and demonstrations, ending with the EDC cutting competition.

First day of the Texas Knifemakers Guild Hammer In is in the books, now onto day two! This is just a small part of what was happening. We had forging, Damascus making, grinding, heat treating, handle work, and so much more going on!

Final touches for the set up for the Hammer In today and tomorrow! There is a lot going on, classes on basic forging, stock removal, Damascus making, heat treat, handles, leather sheathes, cutting competitions, and more!
