As I sit here writing this, I honestly don’t know where to begin.
To the Chinle community… thank you.
When I first started selling food, I wasn’t just learning how to cook for people…I was learning how to believe in myself. Every order, every kind word, every recommendation, every shared post, every person who took a chance on me helped build a confidence I didn’t know I had.
Many of you watched Smoke & Saffron grow from an idea into something real. You supported my experiments, celebrated my wins, and even showed me grace through my mistakes. I’ll never forget that.
Life has taken an unexpected turn. I’ll be closing this chapter of my life here. Because of that, this will be my last time serving the Chinle community.
This isn’t goodbye forever….it may simply be “see you later.” I don’t know what God has planned for me next, but I know I’ll carry every lesson, every smile, every conversation, and every ounce of love you’ve shown me wherever I go.
Thank you for allowing me into your homes, your family gatherings, your celebrations, and your lives through my food. There is no greater honor for a chef than being trusted to feed people, and that trust is something I’ll never take for granted.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself.
