Benjis been off with AJ Swenson roping and getting some consistency. With me being off for a good chunk of time I figured he needed to have a job as there’s no reason to let a prime aged horse sit, even tho Benji feels cheated from his vacation 😂 he’s been badass overall for AJ and we can’t wait to get him home!

Well the day came after some work and a little bit of sedation, DR Equine Services did a wonderful job to start the rehab of this guys hooves. No fault to the seller- we’re not even going there it is what it is- he just needed some help and he got it. I’m hoping he’ll get some much deserved relief and hoping with a few times of having Dakota out with her expertise in special cases he’ll be on the up and up.
He’s going to be a cool transformation story 😌

Fred’s groundwork. You can see how bracy he is when lunging and as soon as I’m behind the drive line, he chooses to bolt.
Then the left side he’s more forgiving to accepting the task whereas the right side he doesn’t want to give in

He’s so weird about his face at his nose being touched so being able to calmly set my hand where it’s at was huge and rewarding. And I’ve been working on him with the flag for touch but added a nice full hose off as well today to see how he’d handle it which was pretty well considering
