Meet Lane Gustafson-Mecham 👇

Lane is a Technical Support Specialist at VES Artex and has been with the company for a year and a half. In his role, Lane focuses on controls and programming, supporting ACE panel development, troubleshooting system issues, and helping ensure ventilation and automation systems work smoothly once they’re in the field. Day to day, he’s digging into PLC logic, helping solve unique challenges, and making sure systems are set up to perform exactly as intended.⚙️

What Lane enjoys most about working at VES Artex is the constant opportunity to learn. He’s passionate about controls and programming and appreciates being able to dive deeper into that world while taking on new challenges. He values the trust the team places in him to grow his skill set, experiment with new solutions, and take ownership of evolving technologies that directly impact how farms operate.🧑‍💻

Lane didn’t grow up in agriculture, but his time at VES-Artex has given him hands on exposure to dairy and livestock operations. Through site visits, system support, and working alongside customers, he’s developed a strong appreciation for the ag industry and the vital role technology plays in animal comfort, efficiency, and farm success. 🎛️

Outside of work, Lane enjoys a mix of staying active and taking it easy. He likes getting outdoors to mountain bike or take his dog for walks, and when he’s winding down, he’s often watching documentaries or playing the occasional computer game. 🚵

As for a favorite farm animal, Lane would have to say cows. After spending time around them, he’s noticed they’re surprisingly curious, calm, and full of personality—basically like giant dogs, but with a lot more attitude.🐮

In agriculture, we understand the meaning of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication to something bigger than ourselves. Today, we pause to reflect with gratitude for those who made our freedoms possible.

Meet Kaden Styer 👇

Kaden is a Controls Specialist and has been with VES‑Artex for 4 years, supporting everything from presales system design and custom controls development to onsite commissioning and troubleshooting. He helps turn unique barn and customer needs into reliable, integrated solutions—from concept and R&D through installation and training. 🎛️

What Kaden loves most is the variety: design, onsite work, building panels, problem‑solving, and working directly with customers and dealers—often while traveling and seeing some incredible places. 🚜

Born and raised on a dairy farm, Kaden grew up milking cows and helping with everything from equipment to electrical and IT. That hands‑on farm background still drives his passion for agriculture today. 🐮

Outside of work, Kaden never slows down—driving truck, plowing snow, making maple syrup, restoring a classic Chevy, and even renting out ice cream machines and sound equipment. In his words: “I love anything chocolate or ice cream, and Christmas is my favorite holiday.” 🍨
