🌲Farm Stand🥛
Everyday, we're open
365 days of the year

Everyday we have extra milk available
Somedays we just have less extra available
We do our best to always make adjustments on our end to ensure we're able to keep the farm stand full

The farm doesn't close for holidays

Another busy day

💠 Milianas rabbits left for National Convention in Reno this morning
💠 Cheyenne ran her conference cross country meet in North Brach at 3pm
💠 Holstein classification at 4pm

What is classification?
Short Version: I pay the association money to come tell me, officially, how pretty my cows are

Long version: I pay the association money to send a classifier who then give them official scores based on the linear scorecard. Scorecard includes, with % on final score
Front End & Body Capacity 15%
Dairy Strength 20%
Rump 5%
Feet & Legs 20%
Udder 40%
The final score is then recorded on each cows official pedigree with the association. As you can see the udder is a major breakdown, and accounts for 40% of their total score

Scored all 7 holsteins today

Cold, wet, Fall day.. yuk

Ovens been on most of the day to keep the chill out of the air

Baked goods made this morning*

Personal freezer clean out as well to make beef stock.

The meaty soup bones not only make great stock, but a delicious supper too.

Made some pickled red onions and absolutely love how this turned out. Great way to end the day.
