Mr. Sam is one of Milianas bucks

Yes, her bunnies live in size appropriate cages. Mr. Sam is also quite spoiled and spends several evenings each week with Dan in the yard

Yesterday I had the chance to spend another hour with one of our mentors who talked to me about papaya enzyme. Great for gut health for these guys.

Rabbits have super sensitive tummies and can quickly end up in gastrointestinal distress. Miliana had a doe who we noticed wasn't 100%, so papaya enzyme to the rescue! Mr. Sam was excited about the smell, so he got one (or several) too.

Slower mornings on Sunday are welcomed after 6 days of fast paced controlled chaos. We use Sunday as a reset day.
Reset our bodies, minds, barn and house.
Slower paced work, but just as important.

Why we choose to use frozen vs live cover?

Genetic diversity is a huge one
We can select bulls that best match the need of each heifer/cow instead of running a bull with the group even when he isn't the best choice.

We did have a bull last fall to clean up but we hope we can skip that this year

Did you know she manages her own herd? With limited help from mom and dad, she controls the day to day actives happening in the rabbitry

From breeding, culling, selling and bookwork, she has learned so much in just a short time
