Red also had her calf this morning before we left for the fair

A few hours after Victoria, and boy was I happy it was a beefer that calved.

Red starts and ends the fall calving season for the beef herd

🎨 We love it when people share their art with us.

We had someone stop by the stalls at the fair about an hour ago to paint and draw this all in about 15 minutes! Pretty cool!

Now, the not so fun part of this post: As a reminder, the farm is closed to the public, and we do not allow self guided tours.
We've had way too many people be pretty brazen about walking & driving around the buildings and animals. Please be respectful of us and the animals. We have a multi-generational farm, have adjusted where we drive and work on equipment, our kids have also moved their general play area to accommodate the Farm Stand.
We appreciate the enthusiasm for the farm and serving our community 🌲

Victoria doesn't have fast feet, so that's greatly appreciated

Overnight calf for Belle

BIG speckle park × heifer, I don't think a jersey has had a calf of this size here yet. Didn't scale her, but would easily put her 90+ lbs range based on the struggle to get her moved around.

Victoria and Miska are looking close too, hopefully they hold out until this afternoon so I can get to the fair this morning and enjoy watching Cheyenne with her Hampshire ewe

🏫 Also, happy first day/week of school for many 🍎

Hard to believe summer is coming to a close, and before we know it, fall fun will be in full swing

She did it! A summer of hard work has paid off tonight

Hit her goal of not only in the ribbons, but a purple one to boot!

Congratulations to our oldest Cheyenne on a stellar first year as a 4H exhibitor at the MN State Fair.

First in our family to show anything other than dairy at the big show.

Love our lamb? It's all thanks to this girl here and her determination, along with her ability to sweet talk us into *more, More, MORE* sheep
