We’re now taking pre-orders!

The season is starting to turn. After a lot of time in the ponds, we’re beginning to see those early season crawfish come in. Cleaner, easier to peel and the most sought after of the year.

It’s a short window, and it doesn’t last long.

You’re not doing it just for the food. You’re doing it for the people you don’t see enough, the conversations that don’t happen often enough, and the kind of fellowship that’s hard to come by. A boil with our crawfish just gives you a reason to make it happen.

We’re in the ponds every day, waiting on that infamous “light switch” moment that kicks the season off.

Catch is improving, and we’re working through our waitlist as the crawfish come in.

Everything we do starts with the water.

It’s what allows the farm to produce, but it also creates habitat for birds and other wildlife that depend on it.

Season update

Spent the weekend finishing our trap lines

Water temps are still on the cooler side despite the recent warm days, so the
crawfish haven’t fully turned on yet—but it won’t take much.

Early season crawfish are some of the best of the year. Cleaner, easier to peel, and always in high demand once they start moving.

We’re still building our waitlist for the first round of crawfish. If you want to get in early, now’s the time.

Setting the stage

We’re hard at it repairing pots and getting the ponds ready for harvest. This time of year is all about preparation, making sure everything is in place before the season really gets moving.

The upcoming cold spell will likely delay our opening but it’s still early. We’ll keep everyone posted as things develop.

Test pots are back in the water and we’re starting early population checks across the ponds. It’s still early, but what we’re seeing is promising.

Snow days

We are hard at work prepping for the upcoming crawfish season, however we did take the time to enjoy the snow.

We cannot wait to show you what we have been working on since our last season ended. Be patient and stay tuned, crawfish season is right around the corner!
