Hey Awesome Students! 😍🐴

The 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 entry videos are complete!

We had a total of 10 entries (combined between both patterns/courses) so be sure to check out each one and cheer your fellow students on. Each one did fantastic with their equine partner!

This time, Midnight Stars Stables teacher Anna will be our wonderful judge (since I'm the one who helped each student, I can't participate in the judging)! ❤️🐴 Both patterns/courses will be judged and place (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) separately and judging will be based on skills/accuracy/softness during maneuvers; timing and communication with the horse; and in the event of a necessary tie-breaker - time to complete the course.

Do you have a favorite lesson horse and want to show your LOVE for him or her? (Or maybe you love them all equally - we can't blame you one bit because we do, too!)

We've created new "Team Shirts" for each of the lesson horses you know and love! If you have a favorite (or favoriteS), post here or send me a message and let me know if you'd like to place an order!

T-shirts are $20 each and sizes range from S-3XL. Please let us know by August 6. All orders will be placed on August 7 and should arrive about 2 weeks after.

All profits go to extra carrots for ALL the horses! 😘

I wanted to post a video of me and Winston completing the competition Equitation Course to give you an idea of how it should look and how quietly you can use your body and hands to do these maneuvers and cues (and just how responsive Winston is to quiet hands/body/legs). 💙🐴

Hey there Students! 🥰

It's time for a summer, student competition at Midnight Stars Stables!

This competition will be in two parts and focus on both your groundwork/in-hand skills AND your riding skills!

The first part will be the 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 -
An in-hand pattern to show off the communication, teamwork, and precision between you and the horse you are working with (see pattern below).

The second part will be the 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 -
A riding pattern to evaluate your posture, precision, quietness and ability to effectively communicate with the horse you are riding (see pattern below).

Just like our previous competitions - You will have one lesson to help you learn/practice the course, then the second lesson will be focused on completing the course 3 times, with each time recorded, and the opportunity to pick your best of the 3 runs for submission to our judge.

We will have two different divisions this time:
Adult Division (ages 18 and up)
Junior Division (ages 17 and below)

It's time to put on your game face and compete with your fellow students for the opportunity to win a ribbon for placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, as well as a special/grand prize for 1st place (prizes and ribbons will be awarded for each division separately). 🥇🥈🥉🏆

Scores will be calculated on ex*****on and proper communication with your equine partner. Time completion will only be used as s tie-breaker. You can select from any of the lesson horses as your partner. 😍

I'm excited to help everyone have FUN while working on fine-tuning their groundwork/riding skills and horse communication! ❤️🐴

Hey Awesome Students! 😍

A new face will be at the stables for a little while! 🧡🐴
This handsome boy will be a wild one for a bit, as I work on helping him feel more comfortable with people and domestic life, so don't be surprised if he shys away from you if you venture over towards the round pen (where he will be staying for the beginning of his training journey).

Once he's feeling more comfortable, I'll let you all know and encourage everyone to interact with him (in safe ways) so we can let him know just how AWESOME horse-loving humans can be!
