For those of you who are new here, I’m Leslie, the girl behind Baked & Loaded!

I’m usually running around doing 100 things at once, overthinking everything, and trying to make sure everyone leaves happy. But I wanted to take a second to introduce myself and say something I probably don’t say enough.

THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. ❤️

This little potato shop is so much more than a business to me. I’ve poured my heart, time, energy, and probably a little of my sanity into making this dream a reality.

Some days are exhausting. Some days I question everything. But then I see a familiar face walk through our gates, someone enjoying their food, or a sweet comment on Facebook, and I’m reminded why I started.

To my customers: Every visit, every share, every recommendation, and every kind word means more than you’ll ever know. You’re not just buying a potato. You’re helping me live out a dream.

To my staff: Thank you for working hard, learning alongside me, putting up with my craziness, and helping me build something special. I appreciate y’all more than you know!

To my contractors and everyone who’s helped along the way: Whether you’ve built something, fixed something, answered my million questions, or simply showed up when I needed you, I will never forget it.

And to everyone cheering me on behind the scenes, thank you for believing in me, especially on the days I struggle to believe in myself.

I’m still learning. I’m going to make mistakes. But I promise you my heart is in this, and I care so deeply about what we’re building.

Sometimes I look around and think, holy cow, this is really mine. 🥹

You have absolutely NO CLUE how thankful I am for every single one of you.

Y’all, look at our new sign!!

Seeing our Baked & Loaded sign finally hanging up makes my heart so happy! It’s the little things like this that remind me just how far we’ve come.

I want to give a very special thank you to Winged Grain Lazer Works! THANK YOU for taking our vision and turning it into something even better than we imagined! You put so much talent and care into making this sign, and we absolutely LOVE how it turned out! Seeing it up there makes everything feel a little more real, and we’re so grateful you helped bring this piece of our dream to life!

And to Damien with Mr. Nice’s Outdoor Services, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to come hang our sign for us! You didn’t have to, but you showed up and helped us out, and that means more than you know! We truly appreciate your kindness, your time, and your willingness to lend a helping hand!

One thing I’ve learned through this journey is that you don’t build a small business alone. It’s people like these who show up, share their talents, and support your dreams that make all the difference.

I figured it was time to give y’all a little update because I miss your faces, and I know some of you are wondering where the heck your potatoes have been!

As most of you know, we had to close on Friday due to a water leak in the restaurant. Thankfully, we got that situation resolved the same day, but by the time everything was taken care of, there just wasn’t enough time left to get those spuds baking.

Well, apparently Friday was just the beginning of my adventures. 🙃

Saturday morning, I woke up sicker than a dog, and unfortunately, I am still sitting in the hospital as I type this. I’m hoping to break out of this joint tomorrow because, quite frankly, I’m over it, I miss my people, and I AM DYING FOR A POTATO!

As much as I absolutely hate having our gates down, I had to make the tough decision to keep Baked and Loaded closed while I’m in the hospital and recovering. We’re still a brand-new business, and while I have some wonderful people on my team, we haven’t quite gotten everyone trained to the point where they can confidently run the entire restaurant from start to finish without me just yet.

And that’s okay! We’re learning, we’re growing, and we’re getting there.

My hope is to have those gates rolled back up and potatoes baking by Thursday!

Believe me when I say that nobody hates being closed more than I do. I miss seeing my regulars, meeting new faces, hearing about your days, and watching y’all create some absolutely ridiculous loaded potatoes. This little restaurant has become such a huge piece of my heart in such a short amount of time.

But right now, I’ve got to listen to my body, get better, and make sure I’m not bringing any unwanted germs back to share with y’all. The only thing I want to be spreading around Baked and Loaded is butter, cheese, and a whole lot of love. 😂🧀❤️

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for continuing to support this little potato dream of mine.

I promise we’re not going anywhere. Your favorite potato lady just needs a little time to get back on her feet.

Unfortunately, the only thing spooky happening at Baked and Loaded today is a WATER LEAK!

Right now, I’m not sure what time we’ll be able to open today, or if we’ll be able to open at all. We’re working on getting everything taken care of, and I promise to keep y’all updated as we figure things out!

BUT HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS! 🍦🥤

I’ll still be here, and we’ll still have ice cream and sodas available as long as we’re able to safely serve them! Unfortunately, there won’t be any spuds baking until we get this mess sorted out. 🥔💔

Y’all, when I say owning a small business is an adventure, I MEAN IT! 😂 Some days you sling spuds, and some days you deal with unexpected indoor swimming pools.

Thank you for continuing to love us, support us, and roll with the punches. We appreciate every single one of you more than you know! 💙

After some thinking (and realizing y’all still need your spud fix on Mondays), we’ve decided BAKED AND LOADED WILL BE OPEN ON MONDAYS! 🎉
