We get this question all the time.

Italian Ice isn’t a snow cone. It isn’t shaved ice. And it isn’t a slushy.

Authentic Italian Ice is made by blending water, sugar, and real fruit flavors, then slowly churning and freezing the mixture—just like ice cream, but without the dairy.

That churning process is what creates the smooth, creamy texture that Italian Ice is famous for.

At Chuck’s, our family has been making Italian Ice since 1984. Some flavors, like our Lemon Ice, are still made using fresh-squeezed lemons and family recipes passed down through generations. Pear is my new obsession so lite and refreshing and not too sweet.

The result? A refreshing treat that’s dairy-free, vegan-friendly, and packed with flavor.
