Hello out there neighbors! Here on the farm, we are busy renovation the old farmhouse we have been living in.. It has turned out to be an old log home that has been added to, I have traced it back to 1830 but believe it was built around 1794 to 1798 by a Seaton Family. I have pictures of the last Seaton Family that lived here and they are hanging in the entrance way along with the Gray family pictures that have lived her after the Seatons. The History of this old farmhouse has kept me busy while recovering from breaking my leg in two places. This mean there will not be any vegetables this year for sale, but we do still have some hey to sale.
We have 102 bale of our first hay crop left. Bale size is 16 x 18 x 36 rectangle bales. Cost is $4 per bale. call 423-538-7576 if interested in some hay.
Sorry for not have our market vegetables this year, but it has taken a lot longer to heal for this then I anticipated.
Here are some pictures of the before and after of the old farmhouse inside after we put a lot of hard work into the place to get it livable which is was not before we took on this project of love. It is turning out to be a beauty to match the beautiful view of the Mountains that we have on the farm which I had nothing to do with. The view is all God's creation. .
If you have enjoyed me writing about the work around here we are doing in place of farming right now let me know and I will tell you what we found under the house. I am looking for pictures of the house and farm while it was a log house. I know they are out there. It is just finding them.. I will be writing more last. Hope all had a great 4th and celebrating being free.

Looks like spring may come early. We are getting the garden ready to plant. Starting our tomato plants. Sure have liked the warm weather but hope our fruit trees don’t bloom out. Would like to have some fruit this year. I am finally recovering from breaking my leg in two places after 2 surgeries. So hope to help pick our vegetables this year to sale. Will post what we will have for sale. Hope all is well with everyone. Wanda Chambers
