Miss Lily is doing much better this morning. She took her bottle without any issues.

Sometimes farming is tough and this week has been one of those weeks here on Long Fork farm. We lost one of our older cows. One that we bought from my grandparents. She was one of the orginal girls on the farm. We bought her when we first decided to make this place a working farm again. To make it even harder she had a calf that was only a few weeks old. The calf was crying for her dead mama. We tried everything to catch her and couldn’t. Then Cody helped Matt and they set up a corral and finally caught her. She is in a pen at the house but was confused and sad. She missed her mom. Today was day 3 without really having much milk. We have tried to get her to take a bottle but she just wanted her mom. She was mooing this evening and acting hungry. We went out to feed her and she finally took the bottle! Praise God for this little girl! Just send up some more prayers that she get used to her new “mom” (Me) and continues to do well so that we can always have a piece of her mom here on Long Fork Farm. Everyone meet Lily!
