Round 3 hit the Brooder today the last round for 2026. The summer is almost over before it even starts. My does time fly.

2nd round of Yard Birds hit the field last week. With the drought and heat we have been running the sprinkler. In front of where they are going to keep the grass green and the soil cool as possible. We even spoil the chickens around here

With a low this morning of 8 degrees and a feel like temp below zero. I have always wanted to see the temperature in the automatic heated waters. It was interesting. These things will make your life so much easier on a cold winter day and your animals will love you for them as well. Take a look at those water temps. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm they were.

Only 1 picture was taken today to cold for this old Marylander lol. It is an interesting one. It was feeding time the steers get their bucket of grain and yesterday we started rationing them some Alfalfa Balage. 3 different types of feed in this picture grain in the trough alfalfa balage on on the ground and grass hay balage in the feeder. A 6 to 2 vote is for the alfalfa. Got to feed them the good stuff if you want them to grow! Best of luck at keeping warm everyone!!
