We are excited to congratulate the Brill family and trainer Jenny Graham of Cedar Creek Farm on the lease of Loafers Lodge Jujube! Poppy is about as perfect as they come, and we are looking forward to seeing her and her new rider in the show ring! Thank you Jenny for being so great (as always!) to work with, and for owners Laura Schlicht and Natalie Schlicht Teller for trusting me with Poppy’s lease.

This makes 5 horses/ponies that we have sold or leased in the past two months, but we still have more. If you are looking to buy or lease, please reach out to Laura Leroy either on messenger or at 410-458-4010. We might have something to suit your needs!

We just received another update from the buyer of Loafers Lodge Little Big Man “Bubbles”, whom we sold a few months ago. He and his new owner are all decked out for Halloween! 🎃

We have quickly sold/leased all of the horses and ponies of our clients that needed new addresses so we have a few rare openings for training and showing, or sales. We are a boutique hunter/jumper farm located in Churchville, MD. We specialize in getting young TBs, WBs, and ponies to the show ring and continuing on with their owners. We have a fabulously supportive adult amateur group and a few super friendly junior riders. If you would like to join our fun and successful team, please reach out to Laura for more information and to schedule a visit! 410-458-4010

No better way to the end the week: a good flatwork session in the outdoor, then a relaxing stroll through the fields with Grant. 🥰🎃🦕

Fox Creek had a great time in Upperville at the Maryland Horse and Pony Show last week! Entries were huge and the competition was tough, but our horses and riders all performed great and we are very proud of our results!

Congratulations to:

❤️‍🔥Loafers Lodge Red Hot was Reserve Champion USHJA 2’ out of 39 with Morgan Clarke riding. Thank you Morgan for doing a beautiful job catch riding and to her trainer, Brittany Purnell, for letting us borrow Morgan. This pair also placed in Saturday’s 2’ Child/Adult Hunter. ❤️‍🔥Red Hot also won two 3rds Sunday in the 2’ Child/Adult with Ashby Lawrence riding. Thank you Ashby and her trainer, Julie Oliver, for the catch rides.

🎀My Beste Girl and Victoria Roemer were 5th in the USHJA 2’6 class out of 37! 🎀My Beste Girl and Rennie Dyball also placed 5th o/f and 7th u/s out of 38 Low Adults!

🦪Blue Point scored an 85 with Laura Leroy in the USHJA 3’, which won him 3rd out of 55! 🦪Blue Point and Tessa Price were 3rd in the MHSA Adult Medal, put in great rounds in the Younger Adults, and pinned in the u/s!

🥰Love Affair TS Z and Laura Leroy put in consistent trips in the 80s in the 3’3 Performance, and brought home a ribbon in the under saddle.

We had a low key, fun week at this absolutely beautifully run show. Thank you to Victoria Roemer for grooming duties, helping with riding, and being a great ground person. Huge thank you to Alan and Jessi Lohman for running such a well organized, thought out, incredibly exhibitor friendly horse show. We just don’t see many shows like this anymore, and all of your efforts are much appreciated. We look forward to MHPS next year!

Loafers Lodge Red Hot
Reserve Champion USHJA 2’
Maryland Horse and Pony Show 2026
Owner: Laura Schlicht
Trainer: Laura Leroy
Rider: Morgan Clarke

We are so pleased to be working with this fabulous young pony and so excited to see where his future takes him. 🤩
Huge thank you to Laura Schlicht and Natalie Schlicht-Teller of Poppy Hill Ponies for trusting us with this special pony.
Also huge thank you to both Morgan Clarke and Ashby Lawrence for catch riding Remi this past week.

Fun fact: Loafers Lodge Red Hot is half brother to previously FCF owned pony, Loafers Lodge Smokin’ Hot, since renamed Among the Stars. They both have that same incredible movement!
