First time trying out a buckwheat cover crop in the garden and wowza they aren't wrong when they say its a fast grower!! Broadcasted on 8/21 and already shading out the bed which helps tremendously suppressing w**d growth. We are probably still another 12-15ish days out before termination but a keen eye is needed to make sure this one doesn't go to seed! One moment its a fantastic canopy, but waiting too long, we'll have quite the buckwheat w**d problem in the future. Thanks to Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District for the free seeds!!
